Year 5 Love Soggy Redridge!

Year 5 braved the rainy conditions but thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Redridge. They canoed, caved, climbed and collaborated. They fired arrows, walked into the night, zip wired and abseiled. They behaved extremely well and tried everything! Their teamwork skills developed and they were able to be very independent on their residential away from home!

Thankyou Mr Gurum for taking them. And to Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Pettman and Mrs Cherry for helping so well on the visit.

Year 5 enjoying Red Ridge!

The best thing I learned at Red Ridge was…

how to use my sense of touch in the indoor caving and how to overcome my fears on the zip wire (James)

how to almost overcome my fear of heights (Freya)

how to climb and abseil at the quarry because I had done something that I had not done before (Bethany)

how to abseil and how to have fun safely, how to express myself without being dangerous and how important safety is, but most of all how to have good fun (Poppy)

how to abseil because it was extremely exciting because you have to walk backwards off a rock face but when you had got off the edge it wasn’t scary just plain exciting! (Ben)
