Year 2 visited Birmingham Airport partly to gain an understanding of how transport has changed throughout time and also to do some data collection and maths work.
Here’s what some of them thought …
I liked going into the ‘Flight School’ and watching the aeroplanes out of the window. Maia
We had to make up and design our own plane. Alex
We went on the airport shuttle bus. Kyra
We found out lots of information for our timeline about flight. Ronan
Great so many of the children were able to take part – performing traditional dances so enthusiastically and elegantly! Thanks too to Mrs Jackson and Mrs Duffy for making it possible!
Year 2 had a visit from representatives of the R.N.L.I. (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) on Monday 13th May to explain to the children all about the work of this voluntary service. The children listened intently and the visit has inspired them to think about how they can support the service to help the wider community.
